The BSCB are holding a conference on Wednesday 24th January 2018 at Bristol Grammar School on the topic of Online Safety.
The conference will cover how to engage parents with being involved in their child's online life, how young people use the internet and build up their online identity, how to tackle online bullying and hearing about the latest case studies from Avon and Somerset Police.
It is also an opportunity to plan and get ready for Safer Internet Day which takes place a fortnight afterwards on Tuesday 6th February. We will have input from industry experts, young people themselves and those who work in our schools to share their successes.
The conference is aimed at anyone in schools who is involved in safeguarding or online safety, such as Designated Safeguarding Leads, E-Safety Leads, ICT Co-ordinators, Governors or members of the Senior Leadership Team. It is also aimed at every phase from Early Years to Post-16. It is free for most schools to attend with lunch provided, with a small charge for those from outside the Bristol City Council area or independent schools.
Booking can be made through the Trading With Schools website: http://www.tradingwithschools.org/Event/64465
