In May 2022, the National Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel published their review into Child Protection in England.
The review examines the circumstances leading up to the deaths of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Star Hobson and considers whether their murders reflect wider national issues in child protection.
The review sets out recommendations and findings for national government and local safeguarding partners to protect children at risk of serious harm.

In the same month, the Independent Review of Children's Social Care by Josh MacAlister was published.
The review was commissioned by the government in 2019 to look at how children’s social care can better support the most vulnerable children and families. There are around 80 recommendations from the review.
