SARSAS have produced a booklet for professionals working with people over the age of 55 who have experienced sexual harm.
Sexual violence and older women - a guide for providing support
SARSAS is part of the South West Rape Crisis Centre Partnership working on the Chilling Silence Project (funded by Comic Relief) to raise awareness of sexual violence against older women and to bring about change. It is a myth that only younger women are raped, sexually assaulted or sexually abused. Women can experience rape and sexual abuse at any time in their life.
