Regional/ Partner Agency Training

These sessions are either regional events hosted in part by the KBSP or sessions provided by partner agency providers.


Keep Safe Training:

Provider/ presenter: AWP (Avon Wiltshire Partnership)

Description: This course is useful for education, social care, health, and criminal justice staff working with young people aged 12 to 25 with Learning Disabilities who have displayed problematic and harmful sexual behaviours, and their parents/carers. It will also be of benefit for those working with young people without learning disabilities who have harmed sexually.

Aims and objectives of course:

  • To gain an understanding of how best to intervene where there are concerns with regards to young people with learning disabilities engaging in problematic and harmful sexual behaviour.
  • To develop an understanding of the Keep Safe intervention programme as well as the skills required to deliver the intervention within different contexts.

Date and times: Wednesday 11th May and Tuesday 17th May 2022 (9:30am- 4pm for both sessions- delegates are required to attend both days.)

Cost: £300 for the course (for the two days mentioned above.)


An Introduction to Systemic practice

Target audience: partner agencies in health, education and police

Aim: To develop understanding of language & changes in Bristol Children’s Services approach to practice.

Facilitators: Gabriel Collings – BCC Childcare Social Worker & Rachel Hayhow Advanced Social Worker

Dates: 28th July 2022 and repeated on 1st November 2022.

Times: 9.30 – 12.30

90 minute Women and Gambling harm training webinar by Gam Care

Presenter: Gam Care 

Description: This free CPD accredited webinar will look at signs of problematic gambling for women predominately, as often women don’t talk about gambling, we discuss  those most at risk and affected, how others are affected by problematic gambling by someone else in the home and we also give you signposting to all our free services.
